Sonia Nordmeyer
Salon Owner & Stylist
Sonia is Starling Salon’s top senior stylist. She is co-owner of Starling Salon, along with her business partners Sonia Blair and Kirsten Francen. She is passionate about operating on a high vibration and being kind to all. Her veteran status in our industry comes from her 30+ years behind the chair, being an educator of Hair Color for AVEDA for 15+ years, being a mentor of young talent in the industry, and staying on her spiritual journey. She is a leader in every sense of the word. On any given day, you’ll find her educating her team at the same time as curating the perfect color and cut combo for her beloved guests.
She excels at dimensional lived-in custom hair colors, perfect blonding, precision cutting and is a Master Certified Hair Extension Specialist for our luxury extension partner Coco Marie Hair. She is Masters of Balayage Certified and is passionate about learning the latest cutting-edge techniques in hair color, cutting, and styling. She is fiercely loyal to her beloved clients and thoroughly enjoys getting the perfect customized look for every person who sits in her chair. She is truly grateful for every individual who entrusts her with their crown.

Brianne Wilson
Stylist
Brianne is a talented hairstylist with a rich skill-set in more trades than beauty and style. In addition to being a cultured traveler with a love for history and literature, Brianne received a scholarship for soccer in her college years. As a 2007 graduate from Aveda Institute, she is an expert in natural and multidimensional color. Her ability to listen to a clients wants combined with her love of color, allows her to create beautiful individualized results. From organic/ romantic updos and traditional French twists to flattering cuts, Brianne executes her work in a classic style that guarantees satisfaction.

Hallie Adrian
Stylist
Hallie is a stylist with infinite talent and drive. Hallie plays Australian Rules Football and loves to workout. Family is her top priority with her wife, two kids, and two dogs. She graduated with a bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2008, and then from the Aveda Institute Denver in 2010. She is certified in hand-tied extensions and loves to add volume to her clients hair, while ensuring it has that perfect blend. Modern dimensional color is her specialty. Her favorite looks right now are dimensional brunettes and coppers. Struggling to decide what kind of change you are looking for? Hallie loves offering direction to a client during her detailed consultation, where she discusses not just hair, but lifestyle. Megan Brockman
Stylist
Megan is a super talented stylist just scratching the surface at the start of her career. She graduated from the Aveda Institute Denver in 2021. She went through the Starling Internship Program. She is our go-to for bridal & event makeup. Megan loves doing blonding and dimensional lived-in color. She loves to take a client’s idea for color and elevate it, while ensuring a soft grow out. She is certified in Coco Marie extensions. Megan enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her son and mom. On her days off, she is all about movies, music, and working out. Stylist
Kate started her career in the country music capital, Nashville, and then ventured to Atlanta. In 2018 she decided to adventure to Denver to explore all the beautiful places Colorado has to offer.
She has been a stylist for 14 years now, and specializes in multi-dimensional hair color such as balayage and fashion colors. She also enjoys trendy, fun haircuts and updo styling for special occasions. Kate is certified in the hand-tied extension method.
When Kate is not at work, you will find her in the mountains hiking with her dog, snowboarding, or working out at the gym. She is excited to pamper you here at Starling, and make you feel beautiful and confident in your new look.

Emma Stewart
Stylist
Emma is one of our newer darling starlings, but has plenty of experience behind the chair. This Colorado native graduated from CU Boulder in 2014 and then from the Aveda Institute Denver after that. Emma has a passion for haircutting, especially shorter lengths. She prides herself in achieving soft grow outs with both her colors and cuts. When she isn’t working behind the chair, she loves to cycle. Emma has quite the green thumb with her plants. She also loves to geek out on astronomy. Emma is a wealth of knowledge and you are sure to enjoy your time in her chair.

Stevie Aldrich
Creative Director & Unicorn
Our lovely Stevie earned a Bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing that she uses to blow your mind with word volcanoes. She writes the blogs. To make sure she never has a free moment, she’s added to that list the role of event planner. She loves throwing parties, so watch out for all the things she’s roping the rest of the salon team against their will! And if she can get any cats involved, you bet she will. Ask her about her son, Pollock, because he’s fluffy and adorable and you’ll love him.
Sara Brentano
Brow Specialist
Sara Brentano has been a makeup/brow artist for almost three decades. Her passion has always been connecting with clients and helping them make the most of their natural beauty. Her most popular services: customized brow shaping (tweezing only), brow tinting, and lash tinting provides a “no makeup, makeup look” that keeps her clients coming back for years.
Her 16 yrs as an Aveda makeup educator, and editorial makeup artist on photo shoots and fashion shows, gave her the leading edge on makeup and beauty trends that she brought back to her clients. Her love became specializing in trend interpretation for the everyday client.
Sara was born and raised in Colorado, and lives with her artist wife Koko in RiNo. She surrounds herself with art, music, culture, and a huge tight knit Queer chosen family. She has two amazing grown kids and is living in the happiest time of her life!

Natalie Rutkowski
Salon Intern Assistant
Natalie Rutkowski is a salon intern assistant who brings curiosity, warmth, and a love for creative hair to every day at Starling. Originally from New Jersey, she made the move to Denver four years ago and quickly found her place in the beauty industry.
A graduate of the Aveda Institute Denver, Natalie is especially drawn to textured, expressive cuts and effortless color. Her ideal day behind the chair includes crafting shags, refining a perfectly tailored pixie, and creating soft, lived in color that grows out beautifully.
Outside of the salon, Natalie is a proud cat mom to five and counting, though her husband Cory might have a few thoughts about adding more to the family.
Wendy Freeman
Stylist
Wendy Freeman Solis brings over a decade of experience behind the chair, along with a grounded, family-centered perspective that shapes the way she connects with her guests. Originally from Mexico and raised in Denver, she has been part of the beauty industry for 14 years, earning her license in 2012 before taking time to focus on raising her two kids.
Her approach to hair is rooted in trust and connection. Wendy values the relationships she builds with her clients and feels genuinely grateful to be part of their routines and transformations. She is especially drawn to color services, with a love for balayage and lived in hair, and enjoys finishing each appointment with styling that brings everything together.
Outside the salon, Wendy’s world revolves around her family. Whether she’s spending time with her kids, catching a good show, or heading out to the movies, she values the moments that keep life balanced and full.
